Nichols School proudly announces that Phil Coburn, science department faculty, has been honored with the Woodie Flowers Award at the Miami Valley Regional robotics competition in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Nichols students in grades 9-11 have the opportunity to apply for several grants to support summer internships, community service, and artistic pursuits.
In August 2024, a group of rising 7th and 8th grade students will head to the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire for a week long Leadership Academy. This outdoor education program lead by Nichols faculty members provides a lifetime of memories, develops student leaders, and teaches students about mountain ecology in New England. These photos are from the last time the program ran in 2019. Students shown are now seniors getting ready for graduation.
On April 20 and April 27, there are opportunities for the entire Nichols School community to come together to give back to the Western New York community. The first opportunity is on April 20, the Spring Sweep! Working with Great Lakes CleanUP, volunteers are coming together to clean up Buffalo's waterways. We are delighted to announce that Anthony Honeine, a senior at Nichols School, has been recognized as a National Merit Scholar Finalist. This prestigious honor is a testament to his exceptional academic achievements, dedication to learning, and commitment to excellence.
Last week, the Nichols community rallied together in an inspiring display of solidarity and compassion, raising over $13,000 for the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
For nearly twenty years, Nichols has supported the Roswell Park Cancer Institute by participating in Bald for Bucks. This exciting event is led by Mr. Montesano and will take place on Thursday, February 15 in the Reading Room in Albright Hall.
