2023 Athletic Hall of Fame Class Announced!

Nichols School is pleased to announce the 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame class. The group will be honored at an induction ceremony, slated for Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the Flickinger Performing Arts Center. A reception with hors d'oeouvers and open bar will follow in the Class of 1961 Student Commons.

The 2023 Hall of Fame class includes a slate of eleven student-athlete alumni.
  • Ray Empson ‘55 (Football, Basketball, and Track)
  • Ed Marlette ‘64  (Football, Basketball, and Baseball)
  • William Pettit ‘67 (Football, Basketball, and Track)
  • George Kloepfer ‘68  (Football, Basketball, and Tennis)
  • Eulis Cathey ‘71 (Football, Basketball, and Track) awarded posthumously
  • Matthew Martin ‘80 (Football, Wrestling, and Track)
  • Joseph Banach ‘81  (Football, Basketball and Baseball)
  • Kevin Burke ‘91 (Cross Country, Basketball, and Track)
  • Tina Wagle ‘92 (Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse)
  • Don Smith ‘97 (Football, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse)
  • Julia Drury ‘02  (Cross Country, Squash, and Track)
All members of the Nichols community are welcome to attend, and registration and ticketing information can be found online. More information on each inductee with be shared on the Hall of Fame website.

Please note the early bird pricing is in effect until September 1, and there is also a combo ticket price if you are interested in also attending the Big Green tent party on Friday, September 15.
